South Central MN | In general they have their place. I actually like them in a town north of me, they've really helped traffic flow.
That being said, the dot is fixated on the things. My little town has an has an intersection where the n/s road has stop signs but e/w does not. I have never seen an accident at this intersection in my life, and the wait times to get through are usually nil. However, mndot had a legit study where they wanted to build a roundabout there. It'd have taken away driveways from several area businesses that didn't have other outlets, but dot didn't seem to care. Fortunately it seems like that idea got axed. | |
