I got a couple quotes on having some of our corn chopped for silage. They average $8.00 a ton for the chopper, and $125.00 an hour per truck to haul it 6 miles to the pile. We would help haul, and do the packing.

I'm trying to decide to either do our own, which requires wagon upgrades, and help issues, or to hire it done.

8-10 bucks a tonne for chopper and add a dollar per tonne for each truck and packer tractor.
