The guys that are in trouble didn't save enough money ahead to have the additional operating capital.
Also some companies contract a locked in rate for the year.
Those guys are in trouble.
I dropped $ 35,000 into my engine last summer, wiped out all my savings. Any large repair bill can seriously affect any savings. Anyone in trucking knows major repairs come on quick and now prices are stupid! Suspension bar I replaced on one axle two years ago was $1200 then, it's $3200 now.
Tires are becoming almost impossible to chase down. (24.5)
