Brandon, MS | Shortages and the price for trucking are two totally different things.
Got a quote yesterday for a full semi flatbed going from Michigan to Mississippi for a touch over $5/mile. Didn't think that was too outrageous considering fuel prices on the interstates.
I'd say a trucker that was empty could hit $1,000 to fill his truck pretty easily. The trucker not being able to fill his truck is just another example of a slice of society living paycheck to paycheck. He could be charging enough per mile, but his cashflow hasn't caught up to him yet. | |
