I am not trying to understand your situation but here we run a few refer trailers as coolers,,diesel is cheaper than electricity,,even with the double cost of diesel,,the demand charge for your refer will blow the socks off any savings,,here anyhow..when you shut the diesel refer off it is done its cost but electricity the bill continues to arrive,,noise may be your issue,,
