Subject: How common is a “false heat” before calving?

Columbia City, Indiana
I have one Char cow and the older she gets, the bigger pain in the ass she becomes. Always the ring leader when something is going on. She normally calves in the first 25%, but she hasn’t calved this year. She’s big enough it’s hard to decide if she “looks” bred but vet said she was when he sleeved her last fall. I’m tempted to haul her off today or tomorrow with another cull cow. Young bull was chasing her last night, so she’s either definitely open or getting ready to have a calf. I’ve had 1 or 2 other times where a cow exhibited a “false heat” right ahead of calving. She is 7 years old.
