Subject: RE: Baler story

Driftless SW Wisconsin

Well, I didn’t have any more hay to test the techs work in the fall and it is in the manual under net wrap after storage so I didn’t think getting a young tech in trouble was fair, although I will mention it to him and the service manager so it doesn’t happen again. In the end it is my fault. Just posting here to help others avoid the same problem. I will be going through a these four or five steps every time I start a cutting after storage.

I never had to do this before but will from now on, especially If net wrap is serviced. Right now my main concern is getting some weather to ted the hay back out to dry then rake it in and bale it to get it off of the field.

Fortunately this cutting was mostly to get over mature grasses off of pastures with the crazy late spring then grasses exploding with growth.  My main alfalfa grass mix hay is still waiting for some alfalfa blooms.
