Subject: Happy with SteerCommand Z2 also

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I had a SteerCommand Z2 (integrated CAN steering) installed in my 8310R planting tractor for this Spring. It uses an Ag Leader InCommand 1200 and GPS 6500 with a TerraStar paid subscription. It replaced the SteerCommand non Z2 that had been in the tractor.

The non Z2 SteerCommand steered the tractor fine but it would not reliably "detect that the ECU was present" some days. Various suggestions were tried without a complete solution. For this reason we would usually leave the InCommand 1200 and Steering system ON at all times during planting for fear that it wouldn't "catch" the next day.

I traded the non Z2 in towards the latest Z2 ECU. The installation was very simple. I did the calibration myself by following the screen prompts. The system steered well. This change seemed to remedy the problem of not finding the previous controller some days.
