Energizers work best with a series of medium dead ends rather than loops. Think of the power like a series of garden hoses hooked to a central spigot. The longer any one hose is the lower the pressure. This also allows you to use a fault finder to more easily find problems. If you have a big fencer wired this way with good grounds and no major faults, you should be able to leave it all on and burn the grass off as it comes.

Interesting.. so on situation that i have currently.

800m of perimeter fence. 1 wire ran 400m, and looped back to act as a 2 wire fence.

Dugout is being protected, total wire length is about 600m. Have one dead end, and then single strand loops the dugout 3 times, and then finishes at a connector midway on the 800 perimeter to join the two fences.

Energizer is connected to all 3 loops of the dugout fence and then the dugout fence connects to the perimeter.

Seems to be working well, ran it that way to prevent cutting the wire, but reading your post about hoses makes me thing I mighta made the wrong choice.
