Subject: Fence energizer questions

Adding a rotational grazing system this year on a rented piece. got it all figured out but considering energizing the whole home quarter.

Have it crossed fenced into different pastures probably a few miles of fence and curious, If i pick up a big energizer (100mile) is there a way to wire it it in a way where a short doesn't affect my whole grid? Just the area thats shorted. Or does it even work that way?

Ive only ever done small blocks 2-3 acres, with fairly cheap fencers, so historically if the grass gets to long in a spot, would basically shut the fence down.

Have wired them a few ways before. A complete connected loop, as well as straight runs that terminate at certain spots. Not sure what is recommended even, always have kind of winged it.
