Wow that’s interesting. I would’ve guessed it was more like junk feed. That’s good to know
My understanding is it used to be grown intentionally as a feed crop. Kind of a poor mans alfalfa, or maybe a poor soil alfalfa, since it always seems to be the one thing that’ll grow where nothing else will.
