18k per acre on beans be a bit much. But half that be a good rate if it's very Watery. Hog manure would be good at 5k per acre. Guys around here that do it. Do it within couple days of planting on beans and see 8-12 bushel increase. Side by side comparison.
On corn side dressing would be best but takes a lot more specialized equipment and knowledge. Splashing on top of corn works very good although you would loose probably 1/3 of the nitrogen. But can apply with drag hose up to V4 without any damage.

We are applying on corn as we speak. Dairy manure splashed on corn that was planted wensday in wheat that was harvested for silage on tuesday/wensday. Week before we spashed on beans than corn on a neighbore
