| I would think that RS2 can be used as RTK base receiver. It should also be able to include the needed RTCM 1008 message in the stream with an updated firmware.
But as on GPS L2 it is L2C only about 1/4 GPS satellites (the older ones) are not used. So GLONASS unlock should most likely be installed to FMX.
I heaven't used one, but been testing a low cost U-Blox F9P receiver as a base that has about the same specs.
For getting the RTCM 3 corrections to FMX you can use radio or cell internet.
I use internet and free Lefebure Anroid NTRIP cliet + BT-Serial adapter on the rover (=tractor with FMX).
I am using an old outdated GPS+GLONASS Trimble receiver + use-SNIP NTRIP caster on my base.
But as far as it comes to using radio or internet for a RS2 base someone else with hands on experience mighty be better to give you a hint.
Specs say it has options available, but no personal experience here.
Also as the RS2 has everything inside it in would have some doubts about having it running 24/7 year around. On my setup just the antenna is outside up on the roof. | |
