Subject: RE: Trimble module+precision harnessing+surestops

So I was able to investigate more this morning. The harness attached to the Trimble module is a custom 16 row (rowflow module on our planter is only 8 row) to surestop harness made by agexpress. I was able to locate several pin outs of both modules and am looking at just building an adapter from the Trimble module to the precision harness.

The current surestops are the non polarity sensitive versions (white wires), I didn’t actually test them with a multimeter but I’m assuming they’re fed a common ground (will verify when I get a chance). Being that they’re the non polarity sensitive versions, but would most likely be replaced with the newer polarity sensitive versions in the event of failure, could I send 12v to the common wire out of my custom harness instead of ground and not hurt the existing clutches? I bring this up with the idea of being able to swap a new one in if it’s needed and not having to worry about the polarity change if the replacement is the red/black wire clutch.
