Subject: RE: Capstan/Aim Command VCMs

I'm not sure specifically, but I always thought the VCMs had a hard cap # of nozzles. Not sure on what the max # was though. As long as a VCM is capable (might be just a matter if anyone with a different AIM PRO sprayer has it set to like a 12 nozzle section VCM, to which you'd assume they'd use the same VCMs).

As far as the programming side of things, probably worth a call to Capstan to get the quick guide on how to do it right the first way. From my understanding for the AIM PRO system (compared to Aim FLEX, etc that came later), the solenoids are dumb solenoids (no board on deck, so it just gets signal from VCM, and doesn't need to be calibrating a physical solenoid to a location on the boom), so as long as your VCM is eqiupped to handle 6 nozzles on the breakaway + 12 on the secondary, it should be possible.
