I disagree. Putting the offset in the implement only offsets the coverage. It does not physically move the tractor over. You need to physically move the tractor and this is only accomplished by physically moving the receiver, offsetting the physical hitch, or putting in an offset on the receiver.
I'm sorry but you are wrong on this. it 100% moves the tractor over. the reason for measurements on the display are to tell exactly what is happening in real life. the receiver doesn't move so it doesn't need an offset. the tractors job is to centre the implement pass to pass, not the tractor itself.
I have over 20 implements I use and over half are offset. some over 12 feet. never have I ever changed my globe offsets. it's all in the manual.
