You are correct but most of the time the black plug is not powered up since it takes another cable connected to the battery. Since he is only running the STMM I figured that he probably does not have it power going to it and its easy thing to overlook.


Yes what you say is true and could help eliminate high current problems. I took your advice as meaning that a person should never use the black connector for a STTM.

I wish that Ag Leader would have included a high current power LED on the modules beside the CAN status LED. That way a customer would be more likely to notice the lack of high current power because that LED would be OFF. The way it is, one needs to use a meter or test light to be certain that high current power is available. Many customers see the blinking green LED and think all is well wiring wise.
