North Dakota | If you are looking for what I consider the only solution to eliminating virtually all ads and junk, look into "Pi Hole". It uses a Raspberry Pi computer and purpose built software to send all ads to a black hole and you will never see it again.
It is fairly easy to install if you have a bit of computer skills. The one I built a while back I made with a Pi that I had in my junk drawer. Took me a few hours to get it correct but works pretty well and is transparent to your system. The only problem right now is getting a Raspberry Pi for a reasonable cost. I bought a few of them a couple of years ago for about $40 each, today they are over $100.
