NC Iowa | i just asked about that a few posts down. on that recommendation, i bought an external cd rom drive from amazon and it worker great to load my quick books on my refurbished laptop i got from amazon also.

i was going to get a new laptop to load the disk on. i see that laptops don't have cd rom drives. did you copy your installation disk to a flash drive and install from that? i think that will work.

I had bought a cheap external DVD drive powered by either USB C or regular USB 3.0 a while ago and used that. There always seems like I could use a CD drive sometime and bought that portable unit. Worked well for loading QB.
