I know you said on computer, but I use Genius Scan on my phone. When traveling I scan all the receipts immediately and have them in the same pdf. Other receipts can be scanned and group as you wish, ie monthly, by project etc. it can also remove one from the pdf and put it in a different file. You can set tags I believe also for searching, but I haven’t been using that yet.
