southern MN | Here. The only thing that should have the data limit is when data is flowing on the line circled in red.
Any of the devices talking to each other on your WiFi circle should not have any limits going through the router directly to each other.
Now some services provide you a combination modem/ router in one box, but the same rules should apply only the modem half would have data limits.
