NW MN | Ted from what I’ve seen with fixed wireless systems locally is that the radio/modem is outside on the antenna whether it’s a small dish or a wire mesh. Inside the building like you described is the POE(power over Ethernet) injector it’s plugged into outlet and then had one Ethernet cable going outside to the antenna and radio/modem. Then out the other side of the injector it goes to a router. Currently your old router.
The eero I believe should just replace your old router. You could double check with your service provider if any router can be used in place of your current/old router of if their is something special.
It’s possible your router is also the radio/modem and that’s why it needs to be there. Again that’s a question for your Internet service provider. | |
