NW MN | Yes I’ve installed two. One at home and one in our shop. First step will be downloading eero app onto your phone or iPad or a device that will be used to do the install. Then it walks you through nicely.
As for writing anything down I can’t think of anything. You should be able to plug the old router back in and use it if something goes wrong with eero.
Make sure you choose a different network name then what your old router broadcasted.
