Floyd County, Iowa | While I'm replacing our router, I wonder if I can finally set up something that will get Wifi into my shop. Started to look into it last year, but couldn't get into all the terminology and trying to figure out exactly what I needed.
Every place I contacted online wanted to fix me up with enough equipment to run Pentagon computers (seemed like anyway). All I wanted was something to get internet to one single laptop that runs on Win7 for internet searches, no gaming or streaming a tv.
Provider suggests Cat 5 cable, but would have to cross 2 LP lines, electrical service line to house, and wire to well, so I told them no, thanks. | |
