| I've used Farmworks since 1999 so I can appreciate your post. Having your data tied to field records and maps is pretty powerful. Harvest Profit is a farm management software, but it is not an accounting software like Farmworks and does not manage maps. They were bought by John Deere in the last year or so. I'm using Traction now. It's really easy to learn and use. I like that the software can synch with my bank and credit cards and pull in all of our transactions....That's a huge time savings (vs. inputting). That in itself helps justify the cost. It's not to Farmwoks level for functionality but it is light years ahead of FW in usability. They do release monthly updates that have been impressive. I researched many of the farm accounting softwares before I made my decision. Though it's currently not as functional as I would like it, I believe it's going to position us well for the future (and the next generation). | |
