I don’t have anything newer than my iPad 3+ years old......

In general these new options are for doing really fancy stuff with photos and video, but become proprietary and not compatible with ‘everything else’.

The more you can get into your picture defaults and return those defaults to old, standard, not fancy, the better you will be.

If you start with a simple jpg photo, everywhere will be able to work with you.

The more loopy things are set up, the less able anything else will be to understand the format.

They are trying to make the phones a full studio video quality movie camera, and are adding special effects, anti jitter in a big way, and so forth. The still photos are becoming short movies so you can pick out or Smith it out into a clear still photo with no fudges in it, and so forth.

It’s wonderful if you are a low budget movie producer, but if you want some nice pics to share and post on simple web sites it’s just a big mess of complication.
