I think you are trying to get images embedded into the post so you can caption each separately ?

The standard method allows you to upload images to your post but they all appear at the end and you cannot caption them individually.

To do that you must have the images hosted online somewhere else and embed them directly into your post by linking them.

I made a couple posts years ago on how to do this and will link them below. Software and screenshots may be a bit different but the general idea is the same.

Again you need to have your images hosted elsewhere on the web and embed their links into your post.
