If you want a really simple way to do it, use a powerline extender (or powerline adapter). Your barn needs to be on the same electrical system, but you simply plug an ethernet cord into the adapter and plug it into the wall. On the other side plug the adapter in and using an ethernet cord, plug into another wireless router. some of the new ones have a wireless access point built right into the unit. My shop is about 250' from the house and it works fine, albeit, a little slower. Lookup Netgear Powerline AC1000 or TP-Link to name a couple. Available at big box stores. If you want to do it without an eternet cord, I believe the TP-Link will pick up a wireless signal and send it thru the powerline.
