It won’t boot. No lights will come on when I charge it either with the docking station or the regular charger.
Bought it in late 2012 or early 2013. It is still plenty fast enough for what I need.
Something went wrong with the motherboard in late 2017. I found one one eBay and replaced it myself and it’s been running great (as usual) since then.
Should I do the same thing again?
If I buy another one I’ll have to get another docking station at the least. I run two 22” monitors on it when I’m at home.
If I replace the motherboard I’ll likely end up wiping the OS partition and re-installing Windows and I’m kinda past the stage of my life where I’ll do that for kicks and giggles.
Spreadsheets. Paint.NET. SMS. Quickbooks. That’s pretty much what I use it for.
They don’t even make docking stations in the sense that mine has a docking station anymore do they? Do they use USB 3 or something now?
I feel like it would take me forever to research which one I want to make sure it could handle two or three monitors good.
