The question arises are you planning to have live data online - which you will probably be #1 user of - or just store it from a daily/weekly download.

I will get to that in a bit, but first - Brands.

The only two I know of are Davis and Acu-Rite.
Davis has a very good product. It could be that you must have Davis to be on WeatherLink.com
https://www.weatherlink.com/map/762d4ba2-afc5-40f0-a472-9be71ccacd48

Note: This is going to open for my part of the world. Zoom out to find your area. The whole world is on there.

A site where you can see other’s station info. No password needed. Anyone that can get online can view.
Everyone I know on WeatherlLink has Davis stuff.

Also think you can have Davis equipment and not have it online.
That is just look at the info yourself.

The other brand is Acu-Rite
Which I have. Several Acu-Rite indoor/outdoor deals, and electrionic rain gauges.

Think it was 2014 I got a 5 in 1 station. Info on temp, wind direction and speed, rain, and humidity.
And the ‘tower’ or whatever to collect the info, then thru my cable internet router, put it online.
Note: A computer does not need to be on 24/7. But does need a small amount of 110 volt power. Suppose to store info for up to six hours if a power outage.

Also got in-house sensor for indoor temp and humidity. Info also goes thru tower & router to online.
And last a indoor display so I can get info without going online.

Talking maybe a little over $200-, not sure.

My info is not public. To view, you must have my password.
I can view on a laptop or tablet any place in the world I can get online.
Or on my phone, anyplace I can get a cell signal.

It keeps records, temp, rain, wind speed, etc.
Today, past 24 hours, has graph showing conditions. Can look and see anytime in last day or 23 hours.
For the past seven days, past 31 days. Broke down the day’s high and low or rain total. Plus total for period.
I think suppose to go back a year, but I have never got that to work.

No monthly charge.

Have often felt I should get a Davis setup. But am happy with what I have.
Too much info is TOO Much!!

On Ringo’s saying, “you will probably be #1 user of”
If you just want to see the info yourself, I see no reason to be on WeatherLink.
