Northeast Missouri | TR86 with the 474 diesel (mechanical Bosch injection pump--no electronic engine controls).
Wanted to get started combining last night, but combine began losing RPMs on the way to the field, so I headed back to the shop & spun on new fuel filters.
Got started this morning but fuel filters didn't change anything. It's very gutless--I'm running at about 1/2 of normal ground speed to keep engine RPMs within 200 of normal & maintain rotor speed--but want to get some corn shelled. Figured I could work on the combine after getting a bit of corn in the bin.
Best way to diagnose this?
...figured I'd start by loosening injector lines one by one to test each injector. But beyond that I'm thinking I need a mechanic. Might be a governor issue in the pump? What else? | |
