Subject: Extending Wi-Fi signal to cameras

Ft. Ripley MN
Soo wanting to put a couple cameras up to watch the cows.

Been doing alot of reading and looking up cameras, bridges, routers, SIM card cameras my head is starting to get in a loop.

I have Wi-Fi in the house. I have a two barns roughly 150 ft away. The one is direct line of sight and the other might be not so much. There is a corner of another building and a parked tractor in the line is sight. The one that’s not in direct sight that camera will be indoors and will have power to hook up.

The second camera that will go to the direct line of sight, I’m not sure if I will be mounting it on the back side of the barn or on a post another 40 ft away. I’m thinking on the post and a camera that rotates so I can check on both lots.

What would be the most simple cost effective solution to accomplish this? Right now just walking out there every 2 hours to check on them during calving. Just thought it would be nice to just glance at the phone or tv to see if something is happening or when a person runs to town you can still be watching them. Night vision would be nice but still will probably go out during the night just to check.

Thanks

I should add there are a couple security camera options that seem like they would work for indoor and outdoor. The camera that would be inside the barn I read about the Roku cam and i could pull that up on a Roku tv. If a cow looks like it might calve or is in starting process just pull her in the barn and can watch it in live time was my thought
