Subject: Tile water level control structures

North Central Illinois
I didn't want to hijack the thread below about laterals below the outlet, but this seemed very closely related. I've seen these water level control structures promoted for various reasons. I have a couple situations where I think they'd possibly be worthwhile. However, I saw all the concerns about silting in the other thread and wouldn't this have a similar result? Or is occasionally pulling all the stops out enough to keep the silt flushed out?
