Subject: Field cultivator to rough up bean stubble in fall? (For Flatter fields)

20 Miles West of Indianapolis Indiana
Wanting to get away from as much chiseling to help dry out some farms early for spring work. Always like to hit some of our closer fields to get on them first to make sure equipment is ready for the big push after.

Would there be an older(cheaper) field cultivator i could buy and take some shanks off or space the. Out some more to allow bean stubble trash to flow decent and leave the field rougher to allow some spring drying better than bare stubble? (No harrow or basket on the back)

Maybe any old FC would work? Or maybe i need to just pin up my rear harrow on my 4300 case field cultivator? Is there a certain bolt on shovel that would work better for my idea? I want it to throw enough dirt that it keeps the spring chickweed down and not have to fall spray those acres…
