Hennepin, IL | I set up my own base using an rtk3B board from Ardusimple (ardusimple.com/how-to-configure-simplertk3b-as-static-base-station/). Got everything working on that end and connected to RTK2go. Stream shows up on their source table just like it should. I connected to my 6500 receiver via the NTRIP app on an 800 and just using my android phone for a hotspot. I'll get an RTK fix in a little longer than I'd imagine but still <1 minute. Sitting still, correction age stays at 1 sec and about every 10 seconds jumps to 2, then back to 1. Thinking this corresponds to my base showing it quits sending corrections for 1 second every 10ish (haven't exactly figured that one out either). Also while sitting still, RTK throughput stays at 100% or may drop to 99 or 97 or something very briefly. Seems normal when comparing it to using the same hardware with corrections from Digifarm. Problem I ran into using it in the field is my throughput would randomly drop to 0% for up to 10 seconds, then come back a bit, then drop to 0, then may come back to 90 something and drop again. Completely erratic, but then it seemed like it would sort itself out eventually, at least for a bit. Kicker is I only noticed this later on in the day, so I'm not sure it was doing the whole time, or if it was something that developed later on. Odd part was I could stop, wait about 10 seconds, and throughput would go back to 100% and stay there or close. The whole time I noticed this issue I had good cell service and was literally within line of sight of a cell tower. I'm wondering if my problem is between the client and RTK2go. After reading, I dont believe RTK2go needs the GGA string sent back to them, as that was my first thought. The NTRIP client in the 800 auto configures the output so it may be sending info back, but I have no way of knowing what. The only thing I can configure is the input baud rate and I had it on 38400. I didn't think to switch to 115200 until later. Any thoughts? I'm just not sure where to look first.
