Holly Hill, SC | I just wanted to share my experience with providing a speed input to my JD Computer Trak 250 from a 8296R tractor. Due to a breakdown I had to switch my grain drill to a tractor without a Dickey John speed radar. From the following older post I learned that the 7 pin connector on the corner post has speed signal on Pin 1. The 4 pin connector coming from the Computer Trak receives speed on Pin 2. (I use JD GPS on the tractor and have my wires switched to GPS behind the accessory power strip)

Ag Express among others make harnesses including Y harnesses for this attachment. $60 to $130. My quick solution that works great with the use of some well placed zip ties is just using left over Deutsch male wire ends. One wire and good to go. My calibration number is 7400. If the speed reads low then decrease this calibration number.
On a similar note where I had a Dickey John speed radar going to a planter monitor and I wanted 2 additional speed outputs to run two older sprayer controllers. Simple cut the outer covering on the group of wires and access the green signal wire and cut and solder or wire nut additional wires to this wire for the other controllers. Neaten up with some electrical tape and good to go. (works for hockey puck GPS speed sensor also)
