New Mexico | 1. One more big time snow...within 2 weeks. Then early spring ( Feb 1st ), followed by drouth in the Midwest.
2. Citi basically fails...goes on the block...a Bunch of nice pieces to be "cherry picked."
AIG, govt throws in the towel, a bunch of cherry pick pieces there too ( ALL with yet more govt subsidized dough besides ). Interesting: govt bails a co...billions...then it still fails and govt pays more billions to get rid of it! ONLY in the USA...gotta love that.
3. $40 crude oil...20% cheaper energy across the board.
4. $15 to $17 beans ( minus $2 basis ), $4 corn ( minus 50 basis...so net is $3.50 )
5. $$$$ steady to slightly higher. 0% discount window, 3.6% TIPS etc, 3.4% 10 year 3.2% 20 year ) Carry trade continues to print major profits and payoff for usa govt debt.
