We are 50-50 on the farms we sharecrop. We split fertilizer, herbicide, and seed 50-50. We are responsible for the labor, equipment, application, and harvesting. As an added twist I offer to piggy back the landlord's crop on my forward pric contracts. With that they made much more than our cash rent landlords even with the 'bonus' we paid.
