oregon | Dad has had 3 surgeries. The first at ~55 and then at ~70 and ~80. He has had back pain for years and the 1st operation at age ~55 was a lifesaver. According to the surgeon, he was days or weeks away from compressing and killing his spinal nerves.
First one was in the thoracic region. Then lumbar, then cervical. Each operation cured that area but years of over-using his body while manually harvesting vegetable crops, plus sports injuries crippled him up.
He would recommend surgery.
Btw, he still works, age 90.
