Central Kansas | If your dog does not seem troubled by this mass, it is possible it could be a mast cell tumor. They have been found in salivary glands and in lymph nodes throughout the body. A type of white cell that causes a cancerous mass to form, frequently on the dog’s side and flank. Needle aspiration and examination of cells is the method for diagnosis. Likely not the case in this instance but for sure part of the differential if a diagnosis is pursued. | |
