Sanilac Co. Michigan | If it's like the auto reel speed on an R52, 62, etc, there's no sensor or disk on the head at all! I thought they did away with that lash up after the early R50-60-70 that had to have the reel drive pump and controller on the head
Pretty sure it's all handled on the combine itself. There's a module for auto reel speed and calibration under the right hand console. Its got a couple dial knows you turn to get it where you want it.. Essentially, when in auto reel speed mode the module turns the reel proportionate to your ground speed. Makes sense when you stop to think about it. Sure, you can change that rate some with the control toggle on the console, but it's still tied to the ground speed input. My manual has the instructions for setting it up.
Of course, I could be wrong. Maybe Gleaner regressed some when they brought out the Super Series. | |
