Subject: Electronic banking

North East Wimmera district of Victoria.

G'day!

Friday I kicked the idea of buying a drone around some.

Saw what seemed a good, relatively foolproof [depends how big a fool is involved!] deal, with a bonus discount also.

Followed the 'buy now' tag, and I thought I set up a PayPal payment for the deal.  Saw my name, street address, and credit card I.D [only the last three numbers] as usual.

Pay Pal  I have dealt with occasionally, so had no qualms about that method of payment.  My PayPal account is linked to my credit card, so I went into my electronic banking, and there was the amount I had signed up for marked as "pending" . To me that means the correct process is taking place, and it will be debited from my balance when the process is finalized.

Later that day I had occasion to look back to find the date of some other transaction - easy enough, open account, and scroll back a week or two on the transaction list.

The pending transaction  - which I thought might be finalized -  was NOT finalized. It was not even there!

Looked into my PayPal account.  No sign of the deal I figured I had finalized!

I need to talk to the tech/electronics people in my bank head office to see if they can show any light on what's happened.

Friday 23rd was a public holiday for  - of all things -  the Aussy League Football grand final parade, so all bank 'techs' not available!

I sure am curious to know what happened!

The price offered was in Aussy $'s , so I don't think a block on overseas transactions that I have in place would have any bearing on its disapearance.

Any ideas, my NAT friends?
