Real one this year. We had used a fake one since 1996. One the way home Thanksgiving night I announce that we would be getting a real tree. The 12 year old informed me about the sap and the 6 year old informed me that the needles are "pokey"! I informed them that I grew up with real christmas trees and I thought I could handle it.
We have a white pine and it smells just like when I was a kid and we would decorate the tree. Mom would put hooks on the ornaments and dad would help my brother and me put the ornaments on. :-)
