Agent86 - 8/30/2022 18:40 No brush on mine. Another bin same harvestime sweep setup worked fair on corn. Was told westfield made the harvestime sweeps for Brock. Not a feather in their hat.
FWIW
The newer Brock sweeps are made by Sudenga.
We have 4 Sudenga power sweeps and they work well. The offset sump with the gearboxes on top of each other is a very simple design without a drive chain.
Sort of.
The Harvest time sweeps were made by Westfield thru 2015 app. From 2016 to 2020 or so, Brock sold a series 1000 made by Sudenga. Late 2020 they introduced a Series 1500 which is designed and built by Brock. The Westfield system sucks. Gearbox lasted one year, no longer available then. Brock did have a replacement plan, I was told today they replaced "lots" of them. Oodles of other issues with it.
The 1500 is a heavy duty auger, could have been designed simpler for sure. It runs about 1.25 or so off the floor, was told today that was done because it was their goal that nobody would ever push on the sweep. They obviously believe pushing is more dangerous than shoveling all that grain that is missed.
