Subject: RE: Brock harvestime powersweep issues

We have 4 Brock powersweeps, 3 10" & 1 8". Only one we have issues with not pulling itself in grain is the 8" when it has beans in it. Ironically it's in the smallest dia bin, 27'. The others are in a 30' and 2 42' bins. Dealer told us there is an update that moves the drive tire behind the sweep. He also says they need to have a support Ben across the back to prevent sweep from bowing. One of the 42' bin sweeps has the back brace, have had wheat & corn in it but no beans. Looks have 5 bins with GSI powersweep. They seem to handle beans OK but seem we're always replacing drive gogs & chains in them

We've had gearbox issues with the Brock powersweeps. One we had the gear box rebuilt a couple years ago. Last year had another gearbox go out. Sweep wouldn't disengage therefor couldn't use the unload auger so had to use vc to empty bin enough to get in & repir it. .They no longer carry parts for the older gear boxes ( built by Westfiel) Lower gear box was bad but had to replace both gearboxes because they are not compatible. Cost over $3,000 & we did the work. .New gearboxes are a lot heavier so we'll has to be modified. Wasnt a happy camper.
