Little River, TX | George School, PA.
High school only private Quaker school. ^The school was originally endowed by a Mr. George. He donated a good sized farm to become a school for Quaker farm kids needing an education.
My Grandfather attended GS as did my Father and a slug of cousins uncles and aunts. I wonder if there are any farm kids attending George School today. All the farms in the family then are now developed into housing, and town businesses.
After the work out they gave me College was relatively easy.
I got a good grounding in the sciences but upon reflection their liberal arts were and are now extra heavy on the Liberal.
The year I graduated we moved to this farm in Texas. My Sister attended the country school here for 5 years, & it is my opinion she had the better high school education. | |
