Subject: Sulfate is not equal to elemental sulfur

Farmington, Mo
SO4(sulfate) that’s in ammonium SULFATE is only 1/4-1/3 pure sulfur. Elemental sulfur is 90% so roughly 3 times more potent than sulfate.

Unfortunately, this probably doesn’t work in your favor as far as pricing goes. This past year, I had to pay the same price for the sulfate in 28-0-0-4S as the nitrogen. Not sure if that’s fair, but that was what we had to do this year.
