Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa | Bingo!!! We grow seed beans and our trucks haul both bulk and bagged seed for the predominant---read "high priced, heavily advertised"--- seed company in Iowa. A lot of money changes hands in this arrangement, and the "gifts" they send out each year-end via UPS (wonder what the total shipping charges are on that??) are a waste of time and money. The past several years, it's been a 4"x6"x2" lidded tin with a scene on the lid, usually showing their logo/field sign and inside is 8oz of cheap mixed nuts or chocolate coated candy. One year it was 2oz ea of summer sausage and cheese. (No crackers!!! lol!) How many of you could eat 2oz of sausage and cheese in one short sitting?? What is the reasoning behind such a huge corporation spending that kind of money on something so literally cheesy? Wouldn't you think that if you were that corp, you'd rather have your customers and suppliers pleased with your choice of recognition? |
