Central, IL | I think $4.00 cash will open many a bin doors. Basis a couple of months ago was 18 cents for January. I did lock some in on a basis contract but wish I had done more now. I thought todays sell off at noon and then a late session rally was a good indicator for the market.
Some market analists are saying that index funds will have large amounts of money invest in commodities after the new year. Question is what side are they going to be on. Valero bought more ethanol plants in the midwest so are they looking for cheap corn or hedging their bet on the E15?
