Subject: RE: uh,, women are not men,,,

Kittitas Co. Wa. State

Guys would like new tractors, tools, equipment etc..

Trying that with most women is guarenteed an extended "vacation" in the dog house.. which leads to a lot of "coyotey dates".

Can't believe the "new washer-dryer" got past the Christmas present "gift" status...???

Most like "thoughtful" gifts, size-money spent is kinda secondary, it's the "thought".

Something she can wear, sit where she can look at it, use it in conjunction with what she associates with "fun". (not many women describe washing clothes as "fun") or experience that she hasn't been able to do. (maybe a 2-3 day trip to visit kids/old school friend/etc) or sentimential objects.

Or a 'small' vacation for her somewhere she and you would like to go ?  Say,, a 2 day trip to maybe, (example)  Mall of America where she can wander and "window shop" for a day or so, dinner and night at nice hotel??

Really stupid hokey idea (that works) ??  Find someone with "publisher" and make up a bunch of "business cards"  only the cards would say: "good for 1 free dinner","good for 1 free house cleaning", washing dishers, doing laundry, cooking dinner, watching kids for the day while she goes shopping or whatever...  Granted its  'cheap' and all, but falls under the "sentemintal factor',, something you are committing yourself to in the future with zero strings or "can't do that" attached.  Of course there's a 'trust' factor in that you will have to trust she doesn't hand you a "watch the kids for a day" card right when you're planting, but most wives wouldn't do that anyway.

The best thing about Christmas for me,, I don't have to come up with any ideas for anyone.

Best of luck to those who do..
